We are seeking a highly motivated and creative Developer Support Engineer ready to drive our customers to creating excellent applications on the Force.com platform. Responsibilities:
  • Assist 3rd-party developers to troubleshoot their integration with salesforce.com APIs and implementation of other salesforce.com developer products. This will involve debugging, troubleshooting, and taking responsibility to see that the issue is fully resolved.
  • Write sample code as needed.
  • Provide feature explanation and coding best practices.
  • Create knowledge base materials dedicated towards operational efficiency while also empowering and enabling the developer community.


Required Skills/Experience:
  • BA/BS degree in a technical field preferred with a strong academic record.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly and effectively.
  • Strong background and solid understanding of object-oriented  concepts and languages..
  • 2+ years building web-based applications with a solid understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and at least one programming language, such as Java, .NET, or PHP.
  • 1+ year writing and debugging Apex and Visualforce or Dev 401 and Dev 501 certifications.
  • 1+ year working with the Salesforce application or ADM 201 certification.
  • Understanding of REST and SOAP web-based services, with a working knowledge of WSDL interpretation, generation, and consumption.
  • Knowledge of browser compatibility issues.
  • Solid understanding of Internet technologies: firewalls, web servers, proxy servers, etc.
  • Understanding of database concepts and data management (RDBMS) and SQL.
  • Analysis, troubleshooting, and problem solving expertise.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and escalate customer issues.


Desired Skills:
  • Salesforce ADM 301 certification.
  • Customer support experience.
  • Experience with Eclipse IDE and ANT.
  • AJAX web application development experience
  • Committer in an Open Source project is a plus.
  • Understanding of MVC and other common design patterns.
  • Ability to understand business requirements and determine delivery timeframes.
  • Experience with Java, JSP, and Servlets.
  • Experience with C#, VB, and ASP.NET.
  • Familiarity with SAML 1.1 / 2.0 and OAuth.
